Thank you for your support of the SGA Elections! Voting has now closed, and we are happy to announce that 1797 students voted.

Newly elected members for 2025-2026 are listed below. Official election results, including vote totals, can be found at the Student Government Association office at 223 Main Campus Student Center. For offices that did not have candidates file for election, vacancies will be filled at a later date through an application process. More information on that will come out when those applications become available.  These new members will take office at the SGA Banquet on April 2nd.

2) GM 9-02: Impeachment Correction and Update Motion This amendment seeks to update the Impeachment process used by SGA to fix procedural errors that were found and to ensure a more coherent and easier-to-execute process Shall the proposed amendment be approved?

3) GM 9-04: General Election Guidelines Reimplementation Motion This amendment seeks to re-add the guidelines for the SGA General Election into the SGA Constitution following its accidental removal during the implementation of GM 8-09 “Instant-Runoff Amendment Motion. Shall the proposed amendment be approved?

4) GM 9-06: External Affairs Committee Motion This amendment seeks to combine two of the Standing Committees of the Student Government Association (the Community Outreach committee and the Local and State Affairs committee) as they function similarly and don’t need to operate as separate committees. This amendment will combine them into one committee called the External Affairs Committee. Shall the proposed amendment be approved?

5)  GM 9-08: Deputy Director of Marketing and Communications This amendment seeks to implement a Deputy Director of Marketing and Communications, who will work in tandem with the Director of Marketing and Communications. This will allow SGA to improve our marketing, as it will be handled by two people rather than one. Shall the proposed amendment be approved?

Elections for the Student Government Association are run by the SGA Elections Commission. The Commission is headed by the SGA Elections Chair and Vice Chair. In order to preserve the integrity of the Student Government Association and its elections, members of the Commission are not allowed to be members of SGA or to run for office.

All candidates must report all campaign expenses, even if they were donated or paid for through campaign donations. An expense form will be provided by the Elections Commission. All offers of campaign donations, whether accepted or not, must be reported to the Elections Commission through the Campaign Contribution Reporting Form within 24 hours of the offer.
